The Challenge
In May 2025, The First Mile wanted to move immediately into 233 High Holborn, one of our Internet-Ready buildings, owned by a successful Developer but they needed high-speed Internet on Day 1.

Our Solution
The Freeholder had instructed LCC to blow Fibre cores into the building in March 2025 and this installation work was completed in April 2025 and so 233 High Holborn, was ready for marketing to Tenants in days rather than months.
The First Mile received LCC's details from the Heads of Terms on their prospective lease and contacted LCC. An appointment to visit their large floor was made to listen to their Internet requirements and to understand the importance of an immediate Internet connection. The First Mile already had their own IT, WiFi and Routing equipment and so a new agreement was signed with LCC and the Fibre Bearer was transferred to The First Mile within hours. LCC then layered a Static IP range, as requested by The First Mile and the office was prepared for the staff to move from their previous location. All this work and testing took just a few days and in the first 6 months of heavy use, the 1Gbps Fibre Leased Circuit has never recorded an outage or interruption of any kind, which is reassuring. The First Mile have been able to move in without waiting months for Engineers and there were no costly delays e.g. Asbestos Reports and Wayleaves.
