Most people know 1987 as the year of the Great Storm and the start of underground digging to France for the Channel Tunnel. The staff of LCC know 1987 as the year we started a Panasonic Dealership in London Bridge to install and maintain Key Telephone systems on recently introduced ISDN lines.
By 1990, we had expanded into Facsimile Systems, Leased Cost Routing, Voicemail and Mobiles.
By 2000, we were installing RJ45 and Fibre LANs for large offices and had added Mitel, Polycom and BT Dealerships.
By 2004, we had purchased our first IP Switching Platform, a DNX1200 from Redwood Technologies with SS7’s, connected into Verizon’s UK backbone and were awarded our own number ranges from Ofcom. In conjunction with the new BT Openreach lines and Broadbands we were installing, we were able to offer Customers our own IP Trunks, lower call costs and Voice Recording features and called our service, Parasol.
By 2010, we had upgraded our VoIP Platform to our second version of Parasol, using Digium equipment, offering superior reliability, HDVoice and Home Working.
By 2016, we started our 3rd version of Unified Communications using BroadSoft software located in London and Manchester Data Centres for extra resiliency and launched our Mobile App, allowing staff to take their extension anywhere in the world and use WiFi or 4G to stay in touch for free.
In 2017, we are still in London Bridge and have looked after some of our original Customers for 30 years!
